Maintain with quality moisturizing techniques, daily and nightly.

With cold weather conditions, the skin can get stripped of its natural moisture. Defend against dryness by rehydrating the skin with Argan Oil or Jojoba Oil and seal these face oils in with a thick, protective face moisturizer like Coconut Cream or Green Coffee Bean Cream. This is first and foremost for maintaining quality skin. Moisturizing is essential during the winter months. Further, If you implement a moisturizing face serum, you replenish deep within the skin. More on these in a bit. Doing this quality moisturizing is great year-round, but should be a priority in the wintertime.

Don’t forget to protect with SPF

This cannot be said enough, but many forget that sunlight can still damage your beautiful pores – even in the winter months! So, remember to sun protect whatever you do, wherever you go. Repeat after me, Don't forget the sunscreen. Don't forget the sunscreen!

Repeat. Do not forget the sunscreen. And repeat.

Repeat. Do not forget the sunscreen. And repeat.

Consider adding humidity at night

If you have not considered getting a humidifier, and find that your skin specifically suffers during the harsh winters, this could be a helpful addition to get that glowing skin all winter long. This is especially a good addition for those of you out there who blast the heat all day long, which has a tendency to zap away any existing moisture in the air – aka bad for your skin. Last but not least, in addition to healthy, beautiful skin there are some other humidifier benefits you can explore here.

Oh, and please be mindful to change the water about once a week so you avoid bacteria collection.

Humidifiers are great for healthy skin and internal health too.  Image c/o cnn.com

Hydrate by drinking lots of water

Just like sun protection, it cannot be said enough that drinking lots of water will do wonders for your skin and is pretty much one of the best and easiest healthy habits to have. When you drink more water, you’re taking care of organs on a deep cellular level, ensuring they have enough water to function well. If healthy skin is the goal, optimal health can't be ignored.

Face Serums and Face Oils

Winter is a time for nourishment. Nourish your skin with better skincare. That begins with antioxidants, anti-aging ingredients, and specialized formulas. Begin with quality, restorative face serums like Vitamin C for skin brightening and Retinol for diminishing wrinkles and firming skin. Serums are skin rejuvenating superstars, so they are vital for maintaining beautiful, healthy skin. Face oils can eliminate dryness, rapidly restore moisture and even replace your moisturizer, depending on your skin, of course. Both need to get added to your medicine cabinet. So stock up or add them to your wish list and share with loved ones! Nobody wants flaky, dry skin. Glowing skin starts with these masterful skin-nourishers. #glowingskin #GiftyourselfwithAC

What about Retinol? Good question! It's actually a good time to swap your nightly Retinol cream for one that's a bit heavier as Retinol can be a bit drying. Luckily, we have a nice thick Retinol Advanced Firming Cream, designed with this swap in mind and for all over body care moisturizing made with soothing Aloe Vera and Green Tea.

Continue wearing your sunglasses

Wearing your sunglasses during the winter months is one of the best things you can do. It may seem like a hazy shade of winter out there, but winter sun is bright and causes you to squint. What does that result in? Crow’s feet and even sunspots. The eye area skin is very delicate and prone to getting less attention, SPF and moisturizing. You can opt for simple protection with that hot new pair of sunglasses. Looking cool never felt so good. It's also really beneficial for eye -vision protection too. Don those wintry shades, y'all.
